Safety in salmon fishing

• Life vests must be worn at all times while in the boat.
• When using the boat’s motor, the emergency switch must be engaged.
• Do not go boating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Know how to operate the motor before entering the river.
• When using the motor, make sure that the center of mass is towards the back of the boat in order to sufficiently keep the motor in the water.
• Two adults are allowed in the boat at any one time. Third person is allowed only with a special permission.
• When using the motor stay as far away as possible from other boats.
• Always sit in the middle of the boat, do not lean on the sides of the boat. If you need to stand up, hold on to the both sides of the boat continuously.
• Changing seats in the boat has to be done on shore or in the immediate vicinity of the shore.
• If you fall out of the boat, do not try to get directly back in the boat. Swim to the nearest shore, keeping your feet downstream.
